Is a Zombie Apocalypse Coming? My Kids Think So!

I LOVE driving in the car with my kids. Not kidding!! We have some of the best conversations driving in the car to their various activities and I really get to know a lot about them.

Yesterday morning's conversation on the way to school was one of my favorites!!

When we came out to get in the car there was a little bit of fog in the air, but not bad. As we got closer to the school, it got A LOT thicker and I made a comment about how unusual it was for the fog to be so bad this time of year. That's when the Zombie conversation started. It went something like this:

Me: "Man, this fog is getting really thick!"

Brainy: "Maybe it's the start of a Zombie Apocalypse."

GQ: "Oh yeah! Definitely a Zombie Apocalypse!"

Angeline: "I don't like Zombies!"

Me: "Ya know, if a Zombie Apocalypse really did happen I would want to die right away so that I didn't have to live in constant fear of being eaten by a Zombie."

GQ: "NO way! I would totally want to fight off Zombies, that would rock!" and then he began showing his ninja moves.

Brainy: "Zombies freak me out."

Me: "Brainy, you know Zombies aren't real right?"

Brainy: "Yeah I know, but they still freak me out. I have nightmares about them at least once a week."

Me: "I think you think about this WAY too much, maybe we should stop talking about Zombies."

Then the conversation turned to other things and I dropped the boys off at their middle school.

As I was sitting in car loop with Angelina I was using the windshield wipers to wipe off all the dew on the windows. It wasn't raining, but I still had to turn my wipers on every few minutes to clear off the windshield. Suddenly Angelina say very seriously from the back seat, "Mom, I think that's Zombie breath on the windshield."

I laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee myself. Good thing the boys were already dropped off at school, the would have had a hay day with that comment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, NEVER a dull moment in our house!!
